Another one.
How to make this icon:

For PS7, but transcribes easily.
We start with a cropped image of Gael García Bernal, who is a fine actor and, of course, easy on the eyes.

Duplicate the image and sharpen it.

Add in this base by
colortone and set it to overlay at 100% opacity.

Next, add this base [again by the lovely
colortone] and set it to overlay at 100% opacity.

OPTIONAL: Personally, I don't like the lines where they are, so I rotate it. Also, I think it brightened Gael up a bit too much; however, I want to keep the effect on the background. So I used an odd-shaped brush and erased the base off of him.

Add in some random text with your brushes. [I can't for the life of me remember who made this set, and I'm fully aware that I'm going to tutorial-maker hell for it. Sorry, love, whoever you are.]

Next, add in this brush by
teh_indy in #2A6AE4.

Duplicate the layer, and set the second one to overlay at 100%.

In a new layer, stamp this brush by
teh_indy as a border, in #9AB666. Set the layer to multiply at 100%.

Again, here's the finished icon.

Feel free to take it, if you so desire. Credit is nice but by no means necessary ♥
