Saving Help

I saw a tutorial on Goodtutorials.com about inserting mini-movies with Imageready, but when I go to save a mini-movie, it won't let me save it as a .gif. Does anyone know how to fix that? That happens with images as well. It will only let me save it as a .bmp. Help please!
