My first tutorial

i use PSP 8

ok i've been looking around a lot and felt like making a  tutorial cuz i really love whitish coloring on icons.

ok first get your base

 save 2 copies of the base

open 2 of the bases.

on the second base go to adjust >> color balance>> channel mixer

make ur settings look like this:

it should look like this

copy that base.

click on the first base [this one ] and go to paste>>paste as new layer

the first base should now look like this

go to layers>> properties and go to screen  opacity 100. click ok.

it should now look like this

add a brush if you like.  i used this brush by teh_indy

open your 3rd base.

resize the base to 35 x 35

sharpen once.

add a 2 px white border

go to layers >> duplicate

make sure the top layer is active.

go to layers>>properties>>soft light.

then go to layers>>merge>>merge all this is what we have so far.   [ there's a border around there]

copy that

paste on to this  so it ends up looking like this  merge the layers.

ok to make it easier just go  to ur 3rd base, the one we just resized and added a border to  [this one ]

 go to adjust>>color balance>> channel mixer. [i prefer this over greyscale on certain pictures]

make your setting look like this

it should look like this

paste it on to this 

so it ends up looking like this     merge the layers.

i added some text to make it look better. you can add any effect you want.

and this is the finish product.

voila!!

ok sorry if that was super confusing. this is just my first tutorial so i was kind of confused myself.
