Ps full icon tutorial

ok here's a reaaaaaaaally simple tut

going from this to this

*now....we make our base of it....i just cropped, resized, screened b/w, soft lightened b/w again



looks nice...



*floodfill #003663, exclusion, 40%





*gradient, pin light, 35%

*gradient, color, 20%

*light texture (i'm so ashamed, it was in my "uncredited" folder), screen, 100%

*now there's a little thing misaki teached me just today

use your rectangle tool to draw a DUH rectangle in some color from the icon

i used #86a5d7.

then resterize the layer, and select the rectangle (simply, just hold
ctrl and click the layer), and goto Select/Modufy/Contract...and
contract it by 1 px

then goto select/inverse, and fill that 1px left with some other color from the icon...then play with the blending

i set mine to soft light, 100%





*add sum text...i wrote princess in Century Gothis (dunno why i'm so addicted to this font)

and there's your icon
