Emma Watson Outline tutorial for PSP9
We're going to make this little beauty for PSP 9.

Basic knowledge of the program helps.
First, we need to make the base.

1. Use this picture. Crop and resize it to 100x100
2. Sharpen and clarify to your liking.
3. Once that is done Create a new layer >>Overlay at 20% using #FFFFFF
4. Next, create another new layer with Soft Light at 18% using #000000

5. Create New Layer >> Exclusion at 22% using #002a54
6.
(blimey_icons) >> Soft Light
7.
(crumblingwalls) >> Soft Light
8. Duplicate # 7
9.
(blimey_icons) >> Screen
And that's for the image.
This next part is a bit choppy.
10. Copy the base and paste it as a new image.
11. Smudge out the background around Emma. You should get a purplish background. I recommend you set it's hardness at 50%. This will make it a bit easier around her head.
12. Convert the background (the entire image) to a raster layer.
13. Create a new layer, and place it under the image layer.
14. Fill the new layer with #00ff00
15. Okay, now use the magic wand and select the smudge background on the image layer. Erase lightly any remains.

16. Create a new layer between the green background and the image.
17. Using a #FFFFFF 5px round brush, outline the image on the new layer.
18. To smooth out the border, select it with the magic wand, and use Selections>>Modify>>Smooth>>Smoothing Amount: 25 or Enhance Photo>>Edge Preserving Smoothing>>30%

19. I got rid of the green layer, and replaced it with
(gender.)
20. I duplicated it two more times, and arranged it to look like
You should have something like this:

21. Now, it's nice the way it is. But we're going one step further. Use
(crumblingwalls) and set is Soft Light.
22. I next took this light texture by teh_indy and made it so that it was like
Set it to Screen.
23. For the text, I typed "e m m a" using Georgia at 6px and bold.
And ta-dah! You should have something like this:

Eh, I realize that it's a bit confusing. It should be understandable, though.
