looking for a tutorial

okay, so i've scoured i_t's memories and my own for the past 20 minutes, and i'm at a loss. I'm looking for the tutorial(s) that explained how to make pop-cultureish icons. i believe most, if not all the icons had buffy/buffy characters on them. also, i think it was posted in the last month. anyone know what i'm talking about?
