Hi gang!
Due to an increase in the number of posts and arguments relating to the issue, I have tentatively added an Etiquette section to the memories.
Please note that as this area of icon-making is particularly susceptible to flaming, drama, and all manner of other crap I don't want in here, I am going to be very choosy about which posts are archived there. And if a post that is archived there is repeatedly edited or becomes a target for drama and trolls after it is added, it will be removed.
In the meantime, I hope it helps.
In addition, the Community FAQ, at this point an encyclopedic tutorial in and of itself, has been updated under Part IV, to include the answers to, "How do I credit?" and "What is hotlinking?" hopefully having the short-and-sweet answers to these questions in an easy-to-find location will reduce the potential for... frayed emotions, shall we say.
