Full adobe ps tut

ok...here we'll be going from this to this

ok the other day i was browsing teh internet and i've found thsi gorgeous magazine cover with natalie portman on it (i'm not a reaaaaaallllllyyy big fan of hers so i don't usually browse her pix but i do have a few)...anyways i decided to make the avatar out of it..
here it is...

now....i cropped and resized (meanwhile i modified parts that were covered with letters and other stuff....) and i got this

now..i knwo this isn't perfect BUT i'm thinkin ahead and i knwo it'll turn otu just fine after i do something...
i add this light texture to it *i don't know whose it is but if you do just lemme know*

and set it to screen, opacity 100%
see how the blurry part is gone? (i find light textures to be very useful if you have something to hide on your base...)

now i add thsi gradient (very simple, make it yourself)

and set to hue, 100%

now i still wasn't very pleased with it, so i added this texture by innocenceagain ( i seem to be using it a looot)

and set it to screen, 100%

now all you do is add sum text (shining star in my case)
and you're all done
