Photoshop CS 2

Forgive me if I'm overly excited and this has very little to do with actual icon making... but...

Okay, I just got a copy of Photoshop CS 2.

.... Is it just me, or DAMN, is this new Photoshop hot?

http://www.adobe.com/products/photoshop/newfeatures.html#nf1 Look at all the new shiny things it does. *_* It does multiple layer actions! Do you know what this means? It means when we duplicate a base fifty billion times in an icon to create different effects then decide we want to MOVE the base we don't have to do it fifty billion times pixel by pixel anymore! It has smart sharpen which means we can better control the level of sharpening and blurring as opposed to always going Sharpen... Sharpen twice... Sharpen three times! You can do it ONCE and it's totally controlled by how YOU like it. Ditto blurring. I know a lot of other graphic programs have had this for a while (Corel, for instance, I use often and now it'll be even more replaced by Photoshop in my use), but damn, it's exciting to see it come to Photoshop.

You can now customize keyboard shortcuts, customize work spaces (which I assume is the same thing that Microsoft Word has offered for the past gazillion years), Smart Objects (which lets you rotate vector or raster images without destroying them as opposed to everything looking blurry when you turn a vector image). Also, now I don't have to make a new action for resizing images. Now it's supposed to do it automatically.

I am just... so wowed and excited. :D Can't wait to make many icons with it! This is the best Photoshop release I've seen for a looong time.
