Mod Post: Affiliations, Updates, and Promotion
Hi gang!
First of all, I'd like to apologize for hanging on to the affiliations requests for more than six weeks. I have a variety of reasons and excuses, but you all don't care about those; you care about being affiliated! I've gone through them all, and either added or explained accordingly. The
icon_tutorial user info is now up to date. If your journal or community is on the affiliations list, please make sure that you mention icon_tutorial somewhere, as either an affiliate or as a resource.
In addition, over the next few days I'll be going through the members list -- yes, all 6200 -- and removing the deleted journals.
grass_stained and I do this periodically, to keep an accurate count of our membership, and also because we each have a certain sense of organization that demands it.
Comments asking the resource posts (fonts, resources, and so on) to be updated have been received and read, and I will be making those changes this evening and tomorrow morning.
At this time, I wish to draw your attention toi_communities. It's a community for the promotion and recommendation of LiveJournal icon communities. At the moment the rules and community are in a somewhat primitive state, but this will change. I started it two years ago, then deleted the whole thing, and recently reinstated it, because now that I can tell icon_tutorial about it, I think it'll get more traffic than it used to. ;) Everyone's been very good about avoiding promoting themselves here in i_t, but I know there's a need for a place where you can, and that's it.
