Going from a .gif to .png
I just figured this out today, and can’t find it in the memories so forgive me if it’s already been shown.
It’s basic stuff (I’m pretty new to all of this) but as long as you know how to add layers and change blending and the opacity it’s really easy.
Somewhat image heavy, just showing what it looks like between the steps.
I went from this:

To this:

What to do?
First I took the picture of Heather and change it to RGB ( Image ->Mode ->RGB Color )
Once that is done I duplicated layer 1 and then change the blending to Screen. She’s lighter now, but her forehead doesn’t look so strange.

After I did that I added another layer, painted it with #A2D39C and set it to Screen with an opacity of 30%, which gives me this.

Once that was done I added yet another layer and painted it with #005825 before setting it to Overlay.

Then I just sized it down a little to give me the final image.
This makes it look much better as a base too.
Without playing with it:
Played with:
Now I saved my final pictures as .png but it can be saved as .jpg just as easily, and both look better than the .gif.
