Coupling icon.

Learn how to make this icon of the Coupling blokes in Photoshop (which hopefully could be easily translater to PSP as well):

Okay, so you have an image; mine is of the guys from Coupling walking like they're in Reservoir Dogs, courtesy of samelfice at the cap_it community.

I haven't done anything to the image except resize it, but if it's too dark or the coloring is off, I'm sure that by now you already know how to do the duplicate/screen method. In a new layer, I've used some individual images of the guys (and masked the stuff I didn't want) and put them together for the bottom of the icon. Merge the two together and save it for later.

Here's a texture by disappearicons that I've altered a bit by smudging the bottom a bit as it was a little darker there than I wanted. This is the very first layer of your image, and it should be set at normal, 100% opacity.

Here's a texture from Tre-xture, which has been set to lighten at 23%.

I took the first texture and played around with using the IMAGE>ADJUSTMENTS>LEVELS feature, and then set at screen at 100%.

It's a gradient! Set this to screen at 71%.

Yet another gradient, this time at overlay, 100%.

Remember the image of the guys that I had set aside before? Here's where they come in; bring it to the front, duplicate two times so you have a total of three copies, and set all of them to soft light at 100%.

Yet another variation of the original texture that has been tinkered around with in LEVELS, set at soft light at 100%.

A flood layer of dark navy blue (mine happens to be #04052A) set to exclusion, 100%.

I want the brick wall in the background to be less defined, so I'm going to use the smudge tool and smudge it around in the FIRST and THIRD layers of the image. Leave the second one as is.

Using the line tool at 9px, I make two lines and lower the opacity of the layer to 77%.

Finally, I just add some text (arial, 10px, strong), and I'm done. Whoo, now I call it a day and get ice cream :D

Also, here's the layers if you want to check it out.
