My first tutorial. (Go me!)

Today i'm going to yammer on how to make this icon in PS7:



First I start with my base:
I sharpened this bad boy twice.

Then I made a new layer and filled it with #0D004C and set it to exclusion 100%.

Then made another new layer and filled it with #FCE9C0 and set it to Soft Light 69%.

Threw on a gradient, which was #75C2C2 to #0D004C, set to Overlay.

Then I added this texture by floorshow but hit CTRL+U and changed the hue to a bluish colour (It was originally brown), and set it to Screen 100%.

Added another light texture, this one by colorfilter, set to Screen 100% as well.

Then I added some text, Trebuchet bold 18pt, in #C873A3, a colour I pulled from the helmet. I added a dropshadow layer style to it at as well.

I threw in some tiny text and copied the layer style from the "Gorgeous" layer and pasted it to this one as well.

And last but not least, I added a 1px border in black, and voila! Done!

Hope this was easy enough to follow. It IS my first tutorial, so .. go easy on me.
