Macromedia Fireworks D:
Hello everyone! I'm new to this community. I'd love to learn how to make some of the lovely icons I see here, but sadly, I do not have access to PSP, PS7, now that I think of it, I do have access to any Photoshop program for over a month! The only app. that I have now is Macromedia Fireworks MX. I haven't seen any tutorials in the memories for MF MX, so I have no clue how to make anything! x______ x
So, I was wondering if any of you lovelies can help me out here? I've seen a bunch of icon effects I like (I'll post them under the cut) that I'd love to learn how to do in MF MX. So, does anyone have any tutorials for
<--- The crying effect.
<--- The checkered-ish and tint effect
<--- The newspaper-print dotty effect and outline effect (<3 Lupin!)
<--- The bendy text. Thing. Boo to technical terms, I say!
<--- The glare on this. I saw it on a comment by omfgilovlijah. I hope they don't mind x______ x;
<--- I found it in the comments asking for a tutorials. Don't mind the text. I just want the motion blur o____ o;
EDIT : I forgot, how to you cut out the background of a picture so it won't look really horrible and choppy? And how do I make it so a picture is completely black and white, except for one part of it (i.e., a hand picking up a flower petal. I want everything but the flower petal black and white). And last, if I wanted to add a lets say, black streak to Rupert Grints hair (Like in my icon picture >____ >) how would I go about doing so? D:END EDIT

(P.S.: I love my Mac to death (Most of the time), but it really sucks that we can't get a descent art program on here. Anyone know the feeling? >____ >)
(P.S.S.: I made some animated icons in Fireworks, and the speed seemed fine in the app. But when I photobucketed them, they went super fast! So I slowed them down, and now on PB they seem fine to me. But on this slow(er) one (the one that looked fine to me on PB), does it look slow to you?
