Pixel font help!
Hello, everyone, I have a question!
I've spent several hours trying to get my pixel fonts to work. I'm using Silkscreen and Redensek, and what I want to do is create a border around the text. I have both fonts set to their correct sizes, anti-alias off, no bold-- I create a vector layer, make a selection from it, do Selections > Modify > Expand by 1 pixel, then I copy and paste. However, when I do, only the text gets pasted, and not the border.
That was for Redensek. I can't even get that far on Silkscreen- it comes out looking exceedingly ugly everytime I type something in it- it's either too thin or too fat. I'm so frustrated! I've followed all the tutorials on this subject in the memories, and nothing seems to work. *kills pixel fonts*
If anyone could help me with either my Redensek or Silkscreen issues, that'd be a great help.

ETA: Thank you so much, everyone! I've finally figured it out, and I'm really glad you guys helped me. As it turns out, I was creating too many raster layers above the one with color before I expanded the text.
