Couldn't find this in the memories/faq

My friend is using Adobe Photoshop CS & I need to know where to tell her to go to get her layers box to show for her again. She can't find it & said it's not under Window or View. She said the only thing that she has is History. Can someone tell me where it is located on PS CS? I only have PS 7. Thanks in advance if you can.
