we'll be going from this Image Hosted by ImageShack.us to this Image Hosted by ImageShack.us

ok, firstly i took this screencap of the wonderful Mila Kunis from Aerosmith video Jaded (took it myself, couldn't find thsi one anywhere.....if you need them pls ask, or if you use this credit at least....)

now i cropped and resized, sharpened, blurred the face to get porcelain effect, duplicated set to screen opacity 100%, flatten, duplicate again desaturate and set to soft light....
i got this

i added an exclusion layer

then i started adding gradients...added two of them first set to soft light 100%, second to soft light 50%
(i'm not specifying which gradients, cause it all depends of the picture)

then i got this

hmmm...then i realized it's not so great...it's kinda plain and stuff...so i copied a part of the base and paste it.

then added white borders around it with white round brush....

still...i didn't like it and i copied another part of her face and pasted it into the icon....i went to edit/stroke and chose a white 5px outside stroke..

then i added this Image Hosted by ImageShack.us texture, which i can't remember where i got from, btu if anyone knwos lemme knwo and i'll edit teh post with the maker's name...
lowered the opacity down to 80% and set to screen

at the end..i added text...written jaded in Arial, and then resterized the layer and deleted the middle part of word...then i wrote some random words in Arial too, and put it in the space wheer i've deleted the prev layer...
resterized that layer too, and merged with jaded.
then i played with blending...i added outer glow, which i set to color burn..
and voila..my icon (pls don't use since i made it for personal use)
