A VERY simple tutorial

here's a simple tutorial on how to make this from this

Icon tutorial – by Arijana

we will be making a simple Jessica Alba icon….
I’ll use this picture of Jessica Alba I found somewhere on the net ages ago….

and turn it into this…



Ok..here we go….

First I cropped the pic and resized it into this…



Then when I didn’t like what I see, I played a little, sharpened (Filters/Sharpen/Sharpen) filled with this pattern , until I got a perfect base….



Then, OF COURSE, I added an exclusion layer, and filled it with # 003371…I didn’t quite like it cause it was way too dark so I lowered the opacity to 65%.



The next thing I did, I made a new Screen layer, and filled it with this gradient (which I don’t remember where I got it from, or did I make it myself, but if it’s yours let me know). This is what I got:



Now onto the decoration….for border I used one of Pekeana’s icon border brushes , in white color, and this is what I got:



Now the text….
I didn’t quite think of what to write here….my mind was just soooooo blocked, so I used one of already made text-lyrics-brushes, by Ruuk (at least I think)

And got myself a pretty nice icon…for some it’s a little stupid and I dunno what but I tried to keep it as easier as I could….
Voila….
