HELP!!!!

I am working on an icon at the moment and at pretty much the last step. There is an effect I want to add that I think would make the icon that much better. I use PS7 and for animations Animation Shop. The effect I am trying to add is like an animation of fireworks happening on the image. Kinda uh..the best way to describe it is from the musical ep of Buffy in the song Under your Spell where Willow and Tara do the little magic glitter/fireworks effect. If ANYONE knows how or knows where I can find a tutorial I will love you forever
