By request I am making a tutorial for this icon




All of the steps in this tutorial for the sames ones I used here but with a different gradient color.

Tutorial for PSP8

I'll use this picture from Fresh-Faces.ORG



I crop and sharpen the photo to 100x100



Now copy this image and just simply paste it over the original!



Now fill this in with #19202F and set the blend mode to color legacy. It's blue. Now paste that same image
again and set the blend mode to overlay and merge the layers.




Now add a gradient (before adding gradient make a new layer ^_~) of any colors and set the blend mode to screen. I used this gradient:



Its a bit diff in this tutorial because now you need to go >> Adjust >> Hue and Saturation >> Hue/Saturtation/Lightness and set Hue: -180 ; Saturation and Lightness to 0.

Now copy the background layer and paste it over raster layer 1 and set the blend mode to softlight (or overlay).



Add a new layer and fill it with #19202F and set the blend mode to softlight.


Add another layer and fill it with the same blue color and set the blend mode to exclusion and merge the layers.




Now take this text brush ( I have no idea where its from :S ) and mirror it and flip it



and paste it on the icon and the set blend mode to burn and merge the layers! its now done :D
