Battle Royale tutorial
We'll be making this icon-

-using PSP9. Although I'm certain it's translatable.
Note- I have no clue where I get my resources from. I usually nab them from tutorials like this. If anyone knows where anything I used here is from, let me know?
Step #1- To make this icon, we'll start with this image-

of Chigusa and Sugimura from Battle Royale, my current obsession. (it's great that you get to show your fangirl squee whilst helping others here! ^_^) I got this cap from Fight 4 Survival, which has LOADS of BR caps. =D
Step #2- Resize the image and crop to 100 x 100. I'm assuming you guys can all do this.

Step #3- This is looking a bit dark, and no one likes a dark icon, so duplicate the layer and set it to Screen (100%)

Step #4- Add this gradient on a new layer and set to Darken (100%)
--->
Step #5- Add this texture on a new layer to Soft Light (100%)
--->
Step #6- Add this light brush on a new layer and set to Screen (50%)
--->
Step #7- Add the text. I used Arial Black size 5, with a drop shadow (#000000), wrote "BLOOD AND TEARS" and set it to Soft Light.
--->
And ta da! Icon. I do apologize again for not knowing where the textures and stuff came from, if anyone does know, comment and let me know? Please?
I hope to be making more tutorials soon. Check out
killabarbie for upcoming tutorials and icons! [/shameless plug]
