Photoshop problem
Okay, this isn't...icon related. I don't know if it's my computer or my Photoshop, but here it is, and I really hope you can help. I looked for a community for just Photoshop help, but....didn't find one. So please don't get angry x_X; I'll delete if it's off topic...
I have Photoshop CS for MacOSX. Here's my problem...

(click for big picture of issue)
When the image is in PS it's much darker than it is when I look at it saved. In the picture the left one is the real picture, saved and looked at in a preview program, and the right one is the same picture, unaltered, opened in Photoshop. Perhaps my color settings in Photoshop are off? And no, it's not exactly what you'd call "legal."
It's really bugging me that I create a picture I really like and then save something that's almost completely different from what I made. It really doesn't make any sense for this to happen, but I really wish it would get fixed or solved or whatever.
Thanks for your help.
