.gif files in Adobe IR
Okay, I did check the memories for this, but if it's there and I missed it, my bad, please point it out and I'll delete the post...
For reference, I use Adobe PS 7 and the IR that comes bundled with it, which I'm presuming is IR 7.
I have this icon here:

Which yes, has a lot of frames, and I had to lossy it up in IR to make it fit LJ. The question I'm asking is this: are there any .gif compression programs/tips that I can use that will allow me to preserve smoothness and yet compress the file? I'm willing to sacrifice color as long as it doesn't pixelate the image. Also, in general, does anyone find that reducing the complexity of the actual frames (e.g. less texture, whatever) helps in reducing the overall size of the icon -- or is it simply a matter of the number of frames involved?
