simple tutorial. simple icon.












1. My 4th tutorial in 3 days. Ahh..there are many more to come. But
first, let's start out with this nice 'ol Rachel Bilson icon. Paste it
into PS, and let's get started.



2. Ok now, to brighten her up a bit and to make it more vivid, go to IMAGE >> ADJUSTMENTS >> AUTO-LEVELS.



3. Alright, now let's sharpen it. FILTER >> SHARPEN >> SHARPEN. Now you can see her face.



4. Alright, this time let's go to IMAGE >> ADJUSTMENTS >>
VARIATIONS. and set it to original. Now go to more yellow 1 times, then
more cyan 1.



5. Ok, now you LAYER >> DUPLICATE LAYER. and set the new layer
blend mode to SOFT LIGHT at 100%. Then go to IMAGE >> ADJUSTMENTS
>> DESATURATE and then IMAGE >> ADJUSTMENTS >>
VARIATIONS. and click LIGHTER 5 times on the right hand bar.



6. Ok, now add a 10 px rectangular white line across the middle,
well..about right where her shoulder starts. And then set the blend
mode to Normal at 100%.



7. Write whatever you want on the line, I used Times New Roman at size
3. I just typed, "this fire is out of control, we're gonna burn this
city, burn this city."



8. I was going to make more to this tutorial, but I just ended up
saying to myself, "this is simple, this is great" So...enjoy! OH and
don't forget to flatten and save. *wink*
