Adobe Illustrator 10

Hi! I'm doing some spring cleaning in my computer (I need more space!) and I'm wondering if I should delete Illustrator. I use PS7 to make icons, but I heard that there's some stuff you can do with Illustrator that you can't do with PS.

So my question is, is it true? And if so, where could I find tutorials about it?
