Font Question/Trouble

Ok well I'm not even sure this applies here or if I'm supposed to post it here. And if I am not supposed to post this here I am sorry. I'm having a problem when I download my fonts. I download like normal and then I go to un-zip them in WinZip. I place the fonts I downloaded in its place: Local disk; windows; fonts. This has all ways worked before, and I got 2 fonts to go in this way. The other fonts I tried to upload this way have not shown up yet. This way they are in my Microsoft word program and in my Photoshop. And right now some of the fonts I have tried to upload are not visible in either. Could it not work because my evaluation of WinZip has expired? I had an evaluation version before and it worked just fine. If anyone can help me at all I'd be very grateful. Thanks for your time.
