blurry pixel fonts even with no anti-alias
Alrighty, so, I checked the memories, and most of the posts to deal with this seemed to have been solved by adjusting the resolution from Photoshop, but mine's already at 72, and the icons that I've made before that appeared fine on another computer now are affected.
Here's my little problem. I just got a new computer, with a nice brand-spankin' new copy of Adobe Photoshop CS installed. Joy and rapture! However, there seems to be something...off with the system when I view icons I've made in photoshop in the past, particularly in icons using pixel fonts.
On my old system, the pixel fonts I used looked like the ones in the icon I'm using to post--in this example, 8 px, anti-alias set to 'none', and I got nice clear crisp edges on my pixel fonts. Now, however, even with a/a set at none, it's a bit blurry, as if I had it set to 'smooth'.
I've a sneaking suspicion it's to do with my monitor, as even looking at this icon in livejournal I can tell it's blurry.
Has anyone had this problem before, and if so, how'd you fix it? My desktop's set at 1024 x 768, if that helps at all.
Thanks in advance!
