PSP7 Help

I've had a problem with PSP7 for a while now. The text feature has simply stopped working. I go to create text, and when I'm done it cannot be moved. It appears off of the canvas, and when I go to move it it drags and leaves marks all over the canvas. I don't have pictures to post of the problem, it'd be more like a 30 frame animation and I don't have the patience.

I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling, and that didn't do it. Help?
