1. first, get your picture and evenly crop it to 100x100.


2. put a dark red (#710003) and set it to screen@52%


3. then, i added this texture. i have no idea where it's from, sorry.

yeah, anyway, set the texture to screen %100


4. now, go back to your original base and duplicate it, dragging it above all layers set to screen, at

100%


5. now, i added a text-texture thing. i'm not exactly sure where i got it, but i think it's from

http://37pence.org/brushes/main.html. blending mode: screen 100%


6. now, go back to your original pic and duplicate it, set bledniing mode to soft light & bring it above

all layers. but, this base has to be black and white.. so what i did (not sure if PSP users can do this)

is i went to image > adjustments > gradient map. a menu pops up:

chose a black and white gradient and press ok

you should get something like this


7. ok, add #02293D and set blending mode to exclusion at 100%


8. repeat step 6


9. add this texture from hybrid-genesis.com


and set the blending mode to soft light 100%, add a border, and you're done




if anything is unclear, plz ask or if you wanna the see the .psd, i might give it.
i don't know if that's exactly what i did (look at step 8 and 9 lol), and im sure youd only get a similar effect if you used a picture with the same lighting.
