hey i have an uploading problem...

i made this  (yea i know..it sucks, but i was bored and followed a tutorial, and it came out awful...but anyway....) so i upload it onto photobucket and livejournal, and the colors are all messed up. on photoshop, the gradient makes the picture look softer, and there is more color. i saved it as a .jpg. is maybe the way i saved it why it got messed up. i have never had this problem. help please?
