B&W images tutorials?

Can anyone point me towards tutorials for black and white images. Specifically images from a comic/manga? I've looked around and mostly found ones that are on how to colorize them and that's not what I want.

EDIT: Sorry that I wasn't clear the first time. I'm looking for tutorials on diffrent cool effects I can use on black and white pictures that don't involve coloring them to look like they're from cartoons/anime.
