Anime Icon Tutorial - 1
First tutorial ever that I have done for icons in PS7. : D Hope you can understand.
Use these steps to make a icon similar to this:
001: The base, my base was a lovely design from dissapearicons this one!
Do nothing to it yet.
002: Select an area before the dark leaf design, then go to free transform it and pull the selection straight to the left like so.
003: Use this base also from dissapearicons and set the layer to "Hard Light"
Duplicate this layer one time.
004: Use this pattern (Made by me a long time ago, free to snag)
and set the layer to "Overlay" and change the opacity to 40.
005: (My image was extracted, it didn't have the white background)Put this image on your right hand side and set it to multiply.
006: Make a new layer, fill it with black #000000 and set it to color, and change the opacity to 52.
007: Use your image of the girl on top of the black color layer, and set it to "Soft Light".
008: Use this gradient made by crumblingwalls and set it to "Screen".
009: Put another copy of the girl on top of the gradient layer and set it to "Color Burn".
010: Make a new layer, put a 1px black border around the icon, then set the layer to "Overlay" and duplicate it once.
That is all! ^__^ Hope you enjoyed. You go make a nice icon now. :D I'd love to see anyone's results.
