Paint.net is infuriating after a while.

Just curious, I've been downgraded to Paint.net since I moved onto my laptop and I've found it very limited as to what I was able to do in previous paint programs when it comes to making icons and such, Does anyone know of any icon tutorials for it or willing to try and make some sometime?
