How can I get rid of The Very Shiny Nose™

Lately I've noticed that subjects in many of my images have very shiny noses. It looks like a result of the lighting in the venues where the pics are taken. There are examples here and here

I'm using Photoshop CS5 and I've tried using the burn tool as well as tweaking the shadows/highlights in an adjustment layer, but nothing works. If anyone has an idea as to how I might go about taming this persistent beast I would love to hear it.
