Gimp issue...

So recently my photoshop cs5 has refused to load and it just drove me insane to the point that I recently installed Gimp 2.6.9 The issue I'm having is every time I try to use the freetext tool, and scroll to a font I want. It freezes and tells me that it needs to close the unresponsive program.

In the last 2 hours this has happened 3 times. I looked through the program errors on here and gimp_users and haven't seen this issues being addressed yet.

Any ideas or help would be greatly appreciated.

Also my OS is Windows XP.

Problem solved... I think O_o Just for reference if someone else needs it. But to get it to work so that I could scroll through all the fonts, I had the font dialog box pop out and voilia! works.
