Tutorial (PSP 7)

My first tutorial. (Be warned I'm not very good describing things so there are alot of pictures)

This is a tutorial to show you how to achieve this effect (the drop shadow)<

First I just made a green background using  these two colors: #7A9854 & #90C224 

Then I just made this background (you do not have to do this step I just did it because I made this as a base for an icon):

Next I took this lovely picture of Shoshana Bean as Elphaba from the musical Wicked (Im only--> ________________ <--this much obsessed with the show lol)

 (I scaled it down majorly just for the sake of the tutorial...)

 then I cropped it out using the freehand tool (lasso tool) and I had it on 'point to point'

I just cropped out the portion near her head:

Then I went back to the base and created a new layer in which I pasted the cropped out picture into. Then go to Effects>>3D effects>>Drop Shadow I then put my settings at

Offset-Vertical: -1  Horizontal: 9

Attributes- Opacity: 52  Blur:5

Click okay and it should look like this:

Voila!! You've created a neat trick!
