...I need some help. D;

Whenever I work with graphics, they tend to be black and white due to my Beatles obsession. Anywho, it really irks me when I have a low quality image to work with, and most of the pictures tend to be just that. Can anyone direct me to a tutorial on brushing up or touching up LQ images? I've checked the mems, but with no such luck.

I used Photoshop 7.0.
