Icon Guide // Ginny from Harry Potter + Lights
How to make this icon:
This was made using Photoshop CS, but should work in all version of photoshop and transfer to PSP easily. This is a guide for Intermediate to Advanced Photoshop Users. This tutorial is meant to be a guide, please do not create exact duplicates, use different text, fonts, textures and colors to make it your own.
Desaturated (grey scale) base, set to Normal (Cropped from screen capture that I did)
Dark Blue layer set to Exclusion
Original base and set to Overlay
Lights layer set to Screen (cropped from image at SXC
More Lights, created with size 65 brush in a very light yellow, set to Screen
Red/Black gradient set to screen.
Red/Black gradient set to screen again.
Blue gradient set to Color Burn at 50% opacity
Light yellow text, size 6 (spacing 100px) Times New Roman, smaller text is size 3, same font and spacing.
Light textures set to Soft Light (also cropped from image at SXC)
White border brush created by 
quebelly, set to normal.
