Tutorial for PSP9
How to create this effect in PSP9:
Today, we're going to creat this icon in PSP9, but I'm sure this tutorial can be translated for Photoshop.
First, get your base, crop, resize, and do the One Step Photo Fix to make the picture lighter. Then duplicate the base layer TWICE. Set the FIRST DUPLICATE to Screen and the SECOND DUPLICATE to Soft Light. INBETWEEN those to duplicates, create a new exclusion layer and fill it in with a dark blue color like this:
Then above all those layers, create a new raster layer.
Settings: Burn, 100%
Settings: Soft Light, 100%
Settings: Darken, 95%
Then create a new Multiply layer and add your border. (You could set your settings to Saturation(Legacy) or Luminance(Legacy).)
