First tutorial
I was bored so I decided to make my first tutorial with an icon from my last post. It was made using PS.
1. I started off with this picture I found at brilliance.nu (Jude Law fansite).
First, I cropped the image to 100x100 px.
I duplicated the image, desaturated it (images>>adjustements>>desaturate) and then set the layer to screen. I then used the blur tool to smooth out a bit of his skin.
That left me with this:
2. I took this gradient:
and set it to hard light with 100% opacity.
3. I then took this brush in #65485D(shown on white background so you can see it better):
and set it to darken at 59%.
4. Then, I took this brush in the same colour:
and set it to multiply at 50%.
5. After that, I added this brush (same colour as before):
set it to normal and 100%.
6. Once more, I added a brush:
set to normal and 30%.
7. On top of that, I added another gradient:
and set it to Lighten at 100%.
8. Lastly, I added some small text in white at the bottom (shown on black to see):
and set it to 60%.
Tada!
