Text question!!!

I was wondering why when I try to put text on my graphics it has a white emtpy spot in the middle of the letter. I have a example of what I'm talking about. The reason why it says off, sharp, and smooth is because of the anti-alias that it has shown me that I have. I'm trying to do the text on the graphics using PSP 9. So what do you all think it is???
