I tried looking back, and i couldnt find anything like this...

i need help please

i have photoshop cs3, and all of the sudden out of nowhere everytime i paste something to a diffrent image, it has a wierd tiny white border around it. iv tried to remove it, but i cant seem to figure out how it happened, so if anyone has any tips on how to stop it from doing it id really appreciate the help!!

I'm using PSP8, and I'm trying to sharpen/brighten an image and it's just not working right. I'm starting with this base:

and I've been fiddling with brightening and contrast and sharpening and everything, but I'm still not getting much better than this:

and it's just not as crisp as I'd like. I mean, compare to the icon I'm using. :P Any ideas??

good_tutorial is a new tutorial community dedicated to sharing good, informative, well written tutorials. It can be any tutorial you like, coloring tutorials, how to make textures, how to create wallpapers, how to make animations, how to use selective coloring, text ect, but it has to be more than just a list of numbers, or a psd. I came across the following wallpapers (click for full versions):

I was wondering if anyone could tell me how the coloring effects were achieved. I managed a similar, but far more subtle effect on PSP 7 and GIMPshop by playing with saturation, contrast, and the edge-preserving-smooth options, and using GIMP's "cartoon" filter.

I'd love to duplicate these effects for icons and wallpapers.
