QA Consultations

ICETE regularly convenes global focused consultations to define and advance areas of quality in theological education. These consultations often lead to the production of the standards and resource documents. These are smaller scale consultations on specific topics, not to be confused with the major ICETE Consultations that are normally held every 2-3 years.

Forthcoming QA consultations

2024 – Micro-credential Strategy Retreat (24-28 November, Rome). This retreat is reserved to project managers of ICETE member associations and aims to determine and enhance readiness for ICETE MC Alignment.
2024 – QA of Non-formal Theological Education (10-13 December, Rome). This invitation only consultation will seek to determine options for global quality assurance of non-formal theological education.

Past consultations

2024 – ICETE Consultation II on the Implementation of Competency Based Theological Education and Micro-Credentials (13-16 February, 2024 – Rome). This is an invitation only consultation.

2023 – ICETE Consultation I on the QA of Competency Based Theological Education and Micro-Credentials (see resulting guidelines from this consultation)
2022 – C-22, leading to the development of the Characteristics of Effective and Fruitful Non-formal Theological Education
2017 – Rome Roadmap Consultation, leading to the production of Standards and Guidelines for Global Evangelical Theological Education
2017 and 2020 – ICETE Academy Consultations, leading to the foundation and consolidation of the ICETE Academy
2010 – Doctoral Consultation, leading to the drafting of the Beirut Benchmarks
