"iCarabinieri" has been completely renewed and improved both in performance and in the accuracy of the data offered.
Thanks to user reports, new services have been improved and implemented.
"Where we are" allows the citizen to know the location of the closest Army barracks to a point indicated by him or to his geographical position, automatically detected by the devices. An interactive map helps the user in finding the shortest route through the native "google maps" application which will guide the citizen to his destination. Furthermore, through an intuitive graphic interface, the user will be able to immediately get in touch, by telephone or via e-mail, with the desired command.
The main functions of "Where We Are" are:
Search via GPS localization or GSM/WiFi triangulation or via manually entered address
- Show all search results on the Maps application;
- Customization of the number of commands per search;
- Display of the position on the map in standard or satellite format;
- Viewing the route on the map;
- Sending communications via email;
- Ability to make a telephone call;
- Detailed card of the Command, including opening hours and useful information;
"Nearest Station", allows you to find with a single gesture the closest Carabinieri Station at that moment so you can reach it or contact it quickly in case of need.
“News”, to be informed about the activities of the departments carried out in the area and what is happening in the world of the Army;
“Competitions”, to constantly obtain updates on competition notices and test results.
"Appointments" to always remain "in contact" with the Institution, provides information on events and demonstrations (band or fanfare concerts, exhibitions, fairs, etc.) in which the presence of the Corps is expected.
"Call 112" allows you to contact the emergency number 112 directly from the application.
For Android versions prior to 4.3 you may encounter problems with the "Where we are" service.
