Hi everyone,

So the big day has happened, and it was fantastic. We were worried about the weather, it had been cold and was raining on and off but after making a sacrifice to Aproditie (by throwing a mandarin we found on the beach into the sea around Petra Tou Romiou, the place where she rose out of the sea and thus was born) it turned out a beautiful day.

I thought disaster struck, when I shut the door to our apartment and it locked automatically, and the key was inside. But Dean the site manager had a spare!

I had a Kemsley moment while walking up the stairs and tripped over my skirts.

Tristan said "Death do us part" instead of "when death shall separate us"

But overall we did good, and looked spunky!

I did miss having friends and family there,it was a simple and easy wedding, but no one to chat too and be silly with during the preparations and then party on down with!! I missed you all =)

We had lunch, and really had a good time.

When we took photos at the reception place, a cat decided to walk in on us and meow, it was cool!

Here is some photos, there is more on face book, it's just a bugger to upload them here.

http://s21.photobucket.com/albums/b287/HpN/Wedding/

It's also a bugger to upload the video. We will send some DVD home; if anyone wants one just give me a yell (God knows why you would!!)

We will be back in Australia in June! So hope to see you all!!

<3<3<3

<lj-embed id="4" />

NOT AN EASY TASK!

Tristan will get measured up for his suit soon.

We will meet the people who own the place in cyprus, so we can know where we are staying.

Ahhhhh!

Hi Everyone!

I'm back from India, and I'm not dead! ;P

It was a pretty cool trip, although it is such a confronting country. Lots of people, and so much sad poverty.

The best bits of the trips was getting to wash and feed elephants! They are so amazing. I made friends with a young boy elephant, he was so communicative with his trunk. He wasn't happy to get washed, so he kept on playing with his trunk.

We also saw lots of goats, cows (wandering the streets!), jumping fish, dolphins and tiny bats!!!

The strangest bit and most uncomfortable bit of the trip, is that if we went to a to a place with lots of Indian tourists - we were the stars. Lots of attention on all of us. But then there was attention for the girls, basically it was full ball perving (in huge groups!) But when it got to them photo or videoing us; thats when we got cranky! ICK!

New year was a bit of a let down, a good dinner; then we went wandering around Cochin, like half the other tourists there. There wasn't much to go on.

Although there was a family doing fireworks in the street, and let us hang around. That was cool, and so bloody dangerous! =)

So, yes I made it to Syria. The guy at the airport did everything; we didn't have to que - so very very easy =)

Syria is a wonderful country. We went from a sprawling city, to an amazing rocky desert; with mountains so high, then an Oasis and even to beautiful country side of green with red soil.

It is amazing how safe I felt. It could have been a group thing, but all locals were friendly, and even more friendly when they found out that none of us were American!

We had an awesome driver Jarwa; he showed us around and took us off the beaten track. It was amazing when he tooks us to a church; and he (who is a muslim) was welcomed so friendly by the christans. They seem to have gotten over the religious scizim; and embraced each other. Muslims are free to pray in churches and vise verser.

I'll upload some photos at some point; and shows you all. I have long hair now, down to my shoulders!

MEME stolen from Matt cause I like answering questions!

Ask me a question about EACH (or any) of the following:
- Friends
- Sex
- Music
- Religion
- Love
- Livejournal

Is it worth buying the DAAS DVD and getting it sent over?

Ehehe; it would only cost me KD 6... I love that the KD can nearly buy 6 backs Aus.... it is going to make Christmas more affordable.

---

Kuwait shouldn't have round abouts; or anything that has anything to do with giving way. When your selfish, and you have the Enshalla attitude (Enshalla means 'God Willing' beautiful in itself, but when taken to the extreme and suddenly you are no longer responsible for your actions it can get very dangerous) you shouldn't be able to drive.

Although then that would be there would only be 5 people on the road.

The driving is terrible; they go over the 120km speed limit, don't give way, don't wear seat belts, their kids are never strapped in - they could be sitting on the passengers lap, playing around in the car or hanging out the windows or sunroof.

You don't think the roads could be that dangerous? well it rained the other day... 19 people died on the roads; and there was over 120 accidents. This is for a population of 2.5 million people; and a country that is smaller then Victoria.

It's funny; the only time when I have seen someone use their indicator, is when people are pushing in because they don't want to wait for the lights. They really do think they are being polite.

I went to a Pink Ribbon Funraiser last night. It was all fun; but ones of my bosses saw me in heels; and told me I should start wearing them at work. So today I tried.

But offcourse today was the day I had to do a heap of walking, and in non worn in, high, loud clacky shoes - that was not fun.

But since I'm not really trained in the art of walking on heels; I couldn't do anything practically. When a kids went bolting from one of the lines, I could not apprehend them.

So tommorrow, I shall return to normal comfy shoes. But I might start wearing the nicer ones!

On Thursday; I looked out the window and it was grey and misrable. But, when I got outside and looked up at the sky; I realised it was clouds. I was so excited. I don't remember ever seeing clouds in Kuwait. Grey = Dust. Dust = Depressing.

Yesterday; It rained. It was early in the morning so I missed it. I was sad. But, the rain washed all the dust from the trees. They don't look gray anymore. They look real green!!

Today it rained again. I saw it, it was great!! I couldn't run out and dance in it because I was at work, and in my work uniform.

If it rains again, I shall dance in it!

I might have to buy an umbrella! I love that winter is so close!!!!

Nothing else exciting has happened. Although many things are being planned.

Although I'm so far behind on this months archaeology course. I don't know how i'll cope =(

Everyone keep December 2009 open; I will be comming home and Tristan and I will have a blessing (We're getting married some point this year; some place exciting) - but I will get Mum to organise all the fun planning stuff.

I really miss you all!
<3 <3 <3

So work is crazy at the moment. It is a new school, and has new building problems (ones that are comman in Kuwait)

- Aircon is out of wack - freezing or boiling
- Toilets Flood
- Things aren't in the right place.

The worst thing is that we our governed by the school across the road. No matter that this is now my third week, I yet to have a computure. I am sitting between two desks with my OWN laptop!!

But it is good people.

It's hard to think what we are doing for the future. We miss people terribly. But it is such a good place to travel - and we both have time to study - and live in reasonable comfort (which we couldn't afford in oz)

Good news about my first moduel. I got upper second class on my assessment. Which in Aussie terms is a distinction!

I rock!!!

=)

When things calm down a bit, I will try and email people!

I'd like to know how you are!!
