HAP's design module uses a system-based approach that tailors sizing procedures and reports to the specific type of system being considered. Central AHUs, packaged rooftop units, split systems, fan coils, and PTACs can be designed, as can CAV, VAV, single- and multiple-zone systems. The ASHRAE-endorsed Transfer Function Method is used to calculate building heat flow.
