HostsMan is a simple-to-use application created specifically to help you manage your Hosts file with ease. The Hosts file is a plain text file that can contain server names and addresses, and it’s used to map hostnames to IP addresses. Experienced users can utilize the Hosts files to avoid ad servers, to bypass various IP-based restrictions, or to control the websites to which the computer can connect to.

HostsMan doesn’t only let you change this Hosts file to your liking with ease, but it also lets you quickly enable or disable the Hosts file altogether. Besides the built-in Hosts editor, this handy tool also provides the means to check the Hosts file for possible errors, duplicate entries, or even hijacks.

I also like that with this tool you can create backups of the Hosts files, and it lets you manage these backups with ease. A handy exclusion list is also supported. Furthermore, the Hosts file updater can automatically add secure entries to your Hosts file from a series of trustworthy servers.

To sum it all up, if you’re concerned about having a clean, safe and up-to-date Hosts file, then you should give this program a try.
