She is a wonderfully kind and helpful person, and a positive presence in our fandom world. Unfortunately, she recently experienced an injury which ultimately led to one of her feet being amputated. Her significant medical bills from surgery and rehab are compounded by her having been in the middle of moving cross-country. I love sending out Christmas cards and am definitely planning to send them again this year. I am a tad behind schedule. Anyone who knows me will not be surprised by this. :) I have my list from last year, so if you received a card from me then, that's the address I'll be using. Please let me know if you have a different one I should use. If I don't have your address, are you willing to share it?

Uzi instructor killed in accidental shooting.

What I'd like to know is:

- Why in God's name was a 9-year-old girl taking Uzi lessons?
- Why is that even legal, and who the hell needs to take Uzi lessons in the first place, let alone kids?
- The parents thought this was a good idea?! I feel sorry for the girl too - for having these morons for parents.

I fear for this world of ours, I really do.
