About Hoan Marketing
Hoan Marketing launched in 2016 with a simple idea: Mission-driven organizations of all sizes can have just as impactful marketing as major enterprises.
Based in Milwaukee and serving worldwide, we bring this idea to life by combining experience in nonprofits and small businesses with a passion for creative outreach.
(By the way, Hoan refers to the iconic bridge overlooking Lake Michigan, named after the legendary socialist mayor. It’s pronounced “hone”—a fitting double entendre because we’re all about honing in on what makes you stand out.)

Ben Becker (He/Him)
Founder & Director
Ben has spent over 15 years in both the nonprofit and marketing worlds. With HubSpot certificates in Social Media and Email Marketing, advanced experience in WordPress, and a Marketing degree from UW-Milwaukee’s Lubar College of Business, he is proud to support projects ranging from activist groups to small businesses to national nonprofits. When his laptop closes, you can find Ben practicing martial arts, watching basketball, or taking a family walk with his wife, son, and rescue pup.

Mary Blasberg (She/Her)
Strategy Director
Mary has spent more than a decade in the nonprofit world, fueled by her passion for justice and making the world a little bit better. A UW–Milwaukee graduate, she treats learning like a lifelong adventure — whether that means tackling a new craft, experimenting in the kitchen, or keeping up with the latest trends in her field. When she finally presses pause, Mary can be found hanging out with her partner, two kids, and rescue dog, reading, or getting swept up in an epic anime adventure.
Hannah Zoesch (She/Her)
Digital Marketing Manager
Hannah brings experience in communications, social media, and digital storytelling. A University of Wisconsin–Stevens Point graduate with a degree in Marketing and an MBA, she enjoys helping organizations share their stories and connect with their audiences. Whether she’s managing social media, creating engaging content, or exploring new trends and strategies, Hannah is always looking for creative solutions and fresh ideas. When she’s away from her computer, Hannah can be found spending time with her husband and three dogs, Luna, Milo, and Koda, reading, or getting swept up in reality TV drama.
