So um.. you'll see a lot of weirdy symbols in my LJ, but they're faces, a type of emoticon, like the graphical smilies on Yahoo! Messenger, AIM, and MSN messenger. But with letters and symbols. Wow, who knew, right? Anyway, they give a lot of expression to what I write, and everyone else I have as a friend on LJ uses the faces, too. Basically.. you can ignore them if you like, or try to understand them, which would be a bit overwhelmimg at first. I know! I'll list them!

The . = a nose, and the _ = a mouth, which kind of adds a more.. meaningful, potent emotion.

o.o = Just looking kinda thing.
>.> = Looking to the side.
<.< = Looking to the other side.
x.x = Something stupid was said, or done, or thought etc.
^^ = Happy smile!
^____^ = Happier smile!
@.@ = Confused.
*-* = Enthused, enarmoured of something.
-.- = "Good god, why did THAT have to happen?!"
e.e = "So stupid/Can't believe they did that."
n.n = Little smile.
u.u = "You know I'm right."
>_> or the other way = "That was so idiotic..."
>< = PISSED OFF!!11
v.v = Looking down, a bit ashamed.
._. = Sheepish. Only applicable with the _ mouth.

Sideways faces! The = are the eyes, so tilt your head left, oh, and so do the : there.
=P = Stuck out tongue.
=D = Big smile.
=) = Little smile.
XD or >D = Laughing incredibly hard, where the X or > are the eyes closed tight.
=X = Kissy face.
=( = Sad.
=*( = Tearful. There's other variations, but they look so silly.
=\ or =/ or =| = "Well shit."
=O = Slack-jawed, open mouth like "Oh my God!"
:D = Medium smile.
:O = Slack-jawed, etc.

Tilt to the right for these.
D: = Sad face!
DX = Super sad & angry!

I think that covers the basics.. @.@;;;

Oh yeah, the ;;'s denote a certain amount of.. embarrassment/"is that right?" kind of thing. There's also variations, like o.O and O.o where the big O is kind of like a raised eyebrow, and O.O (wide-eyed), as well as x.X, but not for the n.n face 'cause that would be just weird; the u.u yeah, like u.U = slightly tilted head, or raised eyebrow.

And! You'll see some words that are Japanese.
Hai = Yes
Wai! = YAY!
Sugoi = Wow
Kawaii = Cute
Ne, (at the beginning of a sentence) = Hey,
, ne (at the end of a sentence) = , right?/, wouldn't you say?

And um.. I can't think of anymore. x.x;

There's also 'sentences' that are enclosed by asterisks (*). Those would be denoting an action. o.o Like.. *dances around.* That sort of thing.

OMG = Oh My God.
OMFG = Oh My Fucking God.
WTF = What/Why/Who the Fuck?
STFU = (playful) Shut The Fuck Up [It's usually next to a XD / >D or a "OMFG STFU =O" type thing.]

You'll also find that I swear quite a bit on my LJ, but I still have a clean mouth in reality! This is just a place where I can let everything out usually, and not be afraid that people's opinions of me change. Because this is pretty much how people know me online. I know I say that I don't care what people think of me, but the people I know in Minnesota think of me as this goody-two-shoes, and they'd be completely blown away by some of the things they see here, so I'd rather not upset the waters.. u.u;;

Another thing, you'll sometimes see little quips of really messed up words, like "OMFG WAT R U DONI?!@!1?/" Don't mind those, it's just a way of acting stupid online. XD We sometimes make fun of how some peope (newbies/newbs/n00bs) talk online, and it's exactly like that sometimes. We find it hilarious in the right circumstances, actually. v.v;
